Regions of Russia: Stavropol Krai mounts events on occasion of Russia’s National Flag Day

Cultural institutions of Stavropol Krai are holding events on the occasion of the upcoming Russia’s National Flag Day, that is celebrated on August 22. On August 19 Stavropol Museum-Reserve that bears the names of G. N. Prozritelev and G. K. Prave is mounting an exhibition “Under the Russian Flag. 20th Anniversary of Revival of the National Russian Flag”. The exhibition showcases state symbols of the Russian Empire, USSR, contemporary Russia, constituent territories and towns of the North Caucasian Federal District, Stavropol Krai, photographs and documents related to the state and regional symbols, souvenirs, badges etc.

On the day of the state holiday – on August 22 – all state and local libraries, museums, entertainment centers of Stavropol Krai will also launch series of subject-based events: open literature viewing, book exhibitions, presentations, lessons and quizzes, discussions, lectures, tours, educational programs, drawing contests and festive concerts.

All in all, over 300 events have been prepared for residents and guests of Stavropol Krai.
