Exhibitions: Photo Exhibition highlights the Russian President’s residence
August 8, 2011 within the photo festival, the "Baltic Star" hotel (the village of Strelna) opens the "One Day in the Life of the Constantine Palace" exhibition.
August 2, 2011 the Constantine Palace opened its doors to the 15 photographers-finalists who have devoted the entire day taking pictures of one of the most beautiful places in Saint Petersburg. Each participant was given a special theme, which had to be revealed using the lens.
The photographers were given a unique opportunity to capture the best moments of the life of the historical ensemble of the Constantine Palace.
The exhibition includes some eighty of the best works each of which reflects everyday life of the State residence, such as: sightseers walking through the park, launch of fountains, walking on electric vehicles, the work of a watchmaker, and even drawing of bridges. Each photo reflects the most scenic views of the palace-park complex. Heroes of shooting, besides the invited models, were employees of the palace.
All participants will compete for the main prize. The jury composed of representatives of the organizers of the festival - the State Complex "Palace of Congress", "Sovereign Fund for culture support," Municipality institution "Town of Strelna" will determine the winner in late August. One of the photographers will be awarded the audience award.
