Electronic resources: Project of the Center of collective access to Russian information and educational resources to Armenia’s universities and schools underway

Federal Agency on the CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) is working on the project of a Center of collective access to Russian information and educational resources to universities and schools of Armenia, informed the Head of Rossotrudnichestvo office, Counselor of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, Viktor Krivopuskov.

“We are aware of the problems of Armenian universities and therefore we got down to implementation of this program. Leading universities of Russia will unveil their electronic repositories to Armenian students and pupils: training modules, libraries, theses funds, other databases, this will promote closer interaction between our educational systems, further virtual mobility of students, improve professional training of high-qualification personnel”, Viktor Krivopuskov stressed.

The program will provide online access to information stored by 15 universities such as the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, Moscow University of Culture and Arts, Pushkin Institute of Russian language, Moscow, Tomsk State University, South-Russian State Technical University and others.

From October 3rd to October 10th under the patronage of the President of Armenia Serge Sargsyan will run 4th edition of the Days of Russian Word in Armenia. Under the patronage of the Ambassador of Russia Vyacheslav Kovalenko its doors will open the Russian Book House, which is oriented towards the most asked-for educational literature and fiction.

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia announces that Days of Russian Word will be launched in 1400 schools of Armenia.

“The Days” will feature an exhibition of translated literature. Leading publishing houses of Russia will arrive to Yerevan, while on display will go “Fiction” publishing house, Viktor Krivopuskov said.
