Russian history: “P. A. Stolypin and modernization of Russia” Conference in Moscow

September 21, 2011 in the Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia (Moscow) was held a scientific conference "P. Stolypin and the modernization of Russia".

Topics of discussion at the conference:

- Russian modernization process of early twentieth century and particularities of its study at the modern stage.

- Analysis of Stolypin’s concept of solution of systems crises, programs of large-scale reforms of the Russian state and economic systems, technology of its implementation, outcomes and prospects of reforms for historical fate of Russia.

- Understanding of Stolypin’s type of Russia's modernization in light of the current modernization process.

- Pyotr Stolypin, a man and a public figure.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Foundation for the Study of Stolypin’s Heritage, the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, leading officials of universities, archives, museums of Moscow, Penza, Orel, Samara, Saratov, Cheboksary.
