Libraries and education: International conference “Modern trends in library and information technology development” in Blagoveshchensk

IV International theoretical and practical conference “Modern trends in library and information technology development” takes place in Blagoveshchensk 12 to 17 September 2011.

The subject of the conference is “Electronic educational environment for science, education and culture”.

The following issues are tabled:

-       Electronic library systems in educational process of a university.

-       Electronic library: from projecting to realization.

-       Availability of document resources and problems of copyright.

-       Electronic order and supply project service.

-       Social partnership and university libraries;

-       Safety and accessibility of holdings: new technologies;

-       Assessment of quality of information service to users based on the analysis of statistical indicators of the library.

-       Promotion and use of electronic full text resources.

Within the conference the staff of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library will hold a training workshop on the practice of the development of regional information resources.
