International conferences: Scientific conference “Cultural literature ties between Denmark and Russia: Past and Present” in St. Petersburg

From 9 to 10 September 2011 the auditorium of the Main Building of St. Petersburg State University is hosting an international scientific conference "Cultural ties between Denmark and Russia: Past and Present."

The conference is attended by Danish writers and translators - Kel Biornager, Mette Dalsgor, Ida Jessen and Morten Ramsland, chairman of the Literary Committee of the State Council on the Arts of Denmark Greta Rostbel, leading specialists in Scandinavian languages ​​and literature from St. Petersburg and Moscow.

The conference will host an exhibition of ancient books and documents on the history of cultural relations between Denmark and Russia.

Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark Margrethe II will attend the opening ceremony of the Conference, September 9.  

The Conference is sponsored by the Danish Agency for Culture and Art and the Royal Consulate General of Denmark in St. Petersburg.
