Russian Culture Abroad: Conference “Territory of Russian Word. Images” kicks off in Bergamo

On September 1–2, 2011 the University of Bergamo (Italy) with support of Russkiy Mir Foundation is holding the International theoretical and practical conference entitled “Territory of Russian Word. Images”.

The conference will launch an exhibition called “Magic of Lubki Prints and Miniatures in Russia (19th – 20th cc.)”. It will be solemnly inaugurated on September 2 in the former Maddalena Church. On the occasion of the exhibition will be mounted a roundtable discussion “From Lubok to art avant-garde”, which will bring together art historians from Russia and Italy.
