Russian culture abroad: Exhibition in honor of Saint Seraphim of Vyritsa, kicks off in Prague

The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Prague is running an exhibition “From Earth to Heaven”, which is dedicated to one of the most remarkable and revered Russian saints of the 20th century – Saint Father Seraphim of Vyritsa the Miracle–Worker.

The exhibition has been organized with the blessing of Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and Ladoga Vladimir with support of the Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra. The initiator of the exhibition is a direct descendent of Seraphim of Vyritsa – Gennagy Alexandrovich Muravyov.

An exposition which numbers over 100 exhibitions showcases original photographs from the family album of the Saint Seraphim of Vyritsa. The collection represents pictures from life of the miracle-worker in the secular world, Alexander Nevsky Lavra and in Vyritsa, and photographs which tell about the life of the modern Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra.

The exhibition is called to consolidate relationships between compatriots living abroad, generate interest to the life of Reverend Seraphim of Vyritsa, Russian culture and Orthodoxy.
