Google Corporation presented Dart, a programming language for creating web applications.

The release of the Dart was announced by Lars Bak, one of its developers, in the official Google blog. According to him, among Dart’s main advantages are flexibility, simplicity of use, versatility – applications written in this language are applicable for all modern browsers including mobile devices.

Google positions Dart as an alternative to JavaScript which is now broadly used for creation of web applications.

Google has launched the dartlang.org where it posted instructions for developers, a teach-yourself book and code examples. The company stresses that for now only a “beta version” of Dart is released and the work on the project continues.
