Unique exhibits, which present the history of Russia’s Guard of Honor, are going on show for the first time as a part of an exhibition “Russian Military Service. 55th anniversary of Russia’s Guard of Honor”, which is opening on November 29th 2011 at the Central Museum of Armed Forces in Moscow.

The exhibition is timed to coincide with the 55th anniversary of the Guard of Honor of Russia. On this day 55 years ago units known as “Kremlevtsy” were formed by the order of the Council of Ministers and the General Staff’s directive.

The exhibition unveils rare exhibits, many of which have never been displayed before – uniforms and accoutrements of Egersky, Cossack, Chevalier, Grenadier, Semenovsky Lifeguard Regiments, His Majesty Personal Convoy and other units which performed all the canons of palace and diplomatic events.
