Russian culture abroad: Week of Russian language, Russian education and culture in Brussels

In accordance with the federal target program “Russian language” for 2011-2015 on November 21st-25th 2011 the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brussels and universities of Belgium are holding the Week of Russian language, Russian education and Russian culture.

The event has been organized by Lomonosov Moscow State University Center for International Education in collaboration with Rossotrudnichestvo office in Belgium and the Netherlands and diplomatic mission of Russia in Belgium.

The Week’s program features lectures and mater classes, roundtable discussions addressing teaching of Russian language to students, students of courses and pupils of Russian schools for children of compatriots.

Theoretical and practical conference “Teaching Russian as a foreign language to different groups of learners” is launched in cooperation with the Belgium Association of Teachers of Russian language and Literature.

The project is carried out by teachers and students of the Catholic University of Leuven, the University of Mons, the Free University of Brussels, Ghent University, the Marie Haps Institute, Higher Institute of Translators and Interpreters of Brussels, Belgium Association of Russian Schools, and other universities teaching Russian language and literature.
