Museums of Russia: I Museum Forum in honor of the 105th anniversary of I. S. Shemanovsky Museum in Salekhard

I Museum Forum devoted to the 105th anniversary of the Shemanovsky Museum takes place 24 to 29 November 2011 in Yamalo-Nenets District Museum & Exhibition Complex, Salekhard.

In the context of the forum a series of events will be held:

24-25 November 2011 takes place an Education Seminar on development and implementation of museum projects.

26-27 November 2011 will take place the III Interregional Festival of museum projects “Museum Kaleidoscope”.

The festival is held as a part of the regional program “Yamal Culture (2011-2015)” under the support of the administration of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The subject of the festival is “The realization of the project: experience and innovation”.

The festival participants are the museums of Siberia of different profile and administrative subordination, along with public organizations, enterprises and educational institutions.

The festival’s program includes round tables, workshops, competitions (presentation of projects, nominations and awarding of winners).

28-29 November 2011 will take place the “Museums of Northern territories as a phenomenon of the 21st century culture” theoretical and practical conference.

The conference themes are:

- Historical and cultural heritage of the North in museum expositions.   

- Innovation technologies and museum.

- Museum and commerce.

- International and interregional relations: achievements and problems.
