IT and Libraries: Interregional Forum “Children’s book in the context of ICTs advance” kicks off in Perm

November 23-24 2011 Perm is launching the Interregional Children’s Book Forum “Children’s book in the context of ICTs advance”.

The purpose of the forum is to promote an idea of uniqueness and value of a children’s book (both printed and eBook) as the most important tool for intellectual and spiritual development of young generation in the time of ICTs advance among general public, parents, teachers controlling children’s reading practice, authorities.

On the agenda is a theoretical and practical conference “Children’s library on the Web-2”, whose participants will discuss the following problems: broadening of the spectrum and quality improvement of children’s library’s services with involvement of Information Technologies; children’s security on Internet; websites of children’s libraries: content, innovations, services; e-marketing; cloud technologies at children’s libraries; virtual volunteering in creating on-line resources at children’s libraries; digital resources of children’s libraries: creation, digitization, legal aspects.
