Russian regions: Exposition devoted to literary enlightenment presented at the meeting of the governor with the heads of public institutions of higher professional education of the Omsk Region

14 November 2011 in the Omsk regional center of access to the information resources of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library was held a meeting between the Chairman of the Government of the Omsk Region L. K. Polezhayev and the heads of the public institutions of higher professional education of the Omsk Region.

At the meeting were discussed the issues of creation and development of innovative enterprises under universities in order to solve the problems of priority areas of development of the region. The special attention was paid to the interaction of the higher school and local authorities.

The governor and the guests were offered the exposition “Literary enlightenment of the Omsk region near Irtysh: history and modern times” which includes over 800 editions from the A. S. Pushkin Library.

Among them are rare editions of prerevolutionary Omsk educational institutions; some selected works from the collection “Governor’s grant” and a wide range of modern editions covering major areas of knowledge acquired by the library in 2011.
