The Museum of Carl Faberge will open in the renovated East Wing of the General Staff building at the Hermitage as a part of celebration of museum’s 250th anniversary foundation in 2014, announced Director of the Hermitage Museum Mikhail Piotrovsky.
The museum’s concept is being worked out at the moment, though the exposition is said to include works of Faberge company along with graphic projects of jewelry from the Hermitage collection. From time to time the exhibitions will attract works from private collections.

Facilities of the General Staff where renovation works have been already completed are expected to house the arts and crafts exhibition, while the 19th–20th cc. art exposition and contemporary art exhibition will move to halls upstairs.
