Internet resources: Google Street View to be launched in Russia
Google Street View project enabling to browse panoramic images of various corners of the Earth will soon be launched in Russia, said the Head of the Russian Google office Vladimir Dolgov.
“Google Street View will be in Russia quite soon. It is something we are working on right now”, said V. Dolgov.
In early autumn, Google started panoramic shooting of Russian attractions. However, these pictures will not be published on the maps of the company, but in a special section which already provides an opportunity to “walk” around Coliseum and the National Museum of Irak, take a look at the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico, etc.
Google has already passed ahead of the Russian concurrent Yandex. Yandex.Pamoramas project launched in the autumn of 2009. By now the service has published photographs of about a hundred cities, towns and villages of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belorussia.
