Russian culture abroad: Days of Russian language, Literature and Culture underway in India

Days of Russian Language, Literature and Culture in India are running at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in New Delhi on November 1-2 2011.

The core program of the Days is scheduled for November 2. Underway is the seminar “Production of teaching materials for Russian language, literature and country-specific studies in India”, later on is a discussion “Possibilities of textbooks for Russian language teaching in India which would meet Russian programs and requirements of teaching Russian as a foreign language”, followed by a workshop “Study of Russian literature in India”.

It is remarkable that the working language of the Days of Russian language, Literature and Culture, which debuted in India over half a century ago, is Russian, despite the fact that most guests today come from India.
