Final week to register on the Presidential Library’s Olympiad website

The first round of the interactive “Russia in the digital world” Olympiad ran by the Presidential Library is closing on December 11th 2011. At present, tasks of the first stage have been successfully completed by senior pupils and students of basic and secondary vocational institutions from cities and villages from over 80 regions of the Russian Federation.

This year the Olympiad’s questions cover two subjects: History of Russia and Social Studies. To answer some of them contestants need to study textbooks of 19th – first half of 20th cc. available in “Textbooks on the History of Russia” and “Reference books” sections on Olympiad’s portal.

Annual interactive Olympiad of the Presidential Library - “Russia in the digital world” - consists of three stages. The first and the second rounds are virtual: in a limited time frame online participants are to fulfill tasks available on Olympiad’s portal, but beforehand they need to undergo a simple registration procedure. After that finalists will be invited to the Presidential Library to join the third, intramural stage of the competition. The first stage kicked off on September 19th 2011.
