Publishing and Bookselling: Webcast of “KNIGABYTE. The Future of Book” business forum within the International Non/Fiction Fair

“KNIGABYTE. The Future of Book – “Libraries, aggregators, publishers” business forum kicked off on December 1st 2011 as a part of 13th International Non/fiction Book Fair.

Forum was webcasted on December 1st 2011 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the website of the Russian Association of Electronic Libraries.

The central theme for discussion has become the current state and forecasts of increase of legal Russian language e-books being accessible to readers via all channels: traditional and electronic libraries, electronic-library systems at universities, online bookstores, services of aggregators and publishers of digital content.

The program of the forum featured three thematic sessions:

- National aggregators and navigators. ebooks at libraries.

- Electronic-library systems at universities.

- Sale of eBooks.
