Memorable dates of Russia: Exhibition “No wonder all Russia remembers…” in celebration of 200th anniversary of victory in the Patriotic War of 1812 underway in Ufa

On January 26th 2012 the Museum of Military Glory (Ufa) staged an exhibition “No wonder all Russia remembers…”, which marks  200th anniversary of Russia’s victory in the Patriotic War of 1812.

The exhibition is divided into three parts:

- photocopies of drawings and prints of famous and unknown artists of early 19th century showing Bashkir soldiers, which have been preserved at museums, archives of the Republic of Bashkortostan and Russia;

- Photographs of participants of contemporary military and historical re-enactments, which present images of battles and events devoted to historical events of the Patriotic War of 1812 in the State Borodino Museum-Reserve, Smolensk, Leipzig, Dresden;

- attributes, properties, historical costumes which are used by military-historical clubs of Ufa and the Republic of Bashkortostan in military-historical events.

Along with the exhibition was launched a thematic book display of Akhmet-Zaki Validi National Library of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
