On January 17th 2012 Artashat (Armenia) is opening the second House of Russian Book in Armenia. A two-storey building covering the area of 330 meters2 is the analogue of the House of Russian Book in Yerevan, which opened its doors on October 7th 2011.

Underway are construction and preparatory works of Houses of Russian Book in Gyumri, Armavir, Echmiadzin, Ashtarak and Vanadzor while the House of Armenian Book in the very heart of Moscow is to be inaugurated in the near future. All houses will present a single complex.

“Armenia – is an only country of the former Soviet Union which is opening the second House of Russian Book while other five are preparing for inauguration. The popularity of the House of Russian Book in Yerevan among the youth proves that there is a strong demand for the Russian word in Armenia”, says Andranik Nikogosyan – the Chair of the Board of the CIS Youth Council.
