Russian language abroad: World Linguistic and Cultural Studies Contest in Russian Language and Literature devoted to Russian Language Day celebration

Under the “Russian language” federal target program intended for 2011 – 2015, Rossotrudnichestvo federal agency and the International Education Center of Lomonosov Moscow State University are running the World Linguistic and Cultural Studies Contest in Russian Language and Literature, which is devoted to Russian Language Day celebration.

The extramural round of the competition will run March 1­st - 10th 2012.

The contest’s intramural round will be held in Rossotrudnichestvo representative offices and Russian Centers of Science and Culture abroad April 1st - 10th 2012. The results of this round will have been summed up till May 1st 2012.

Representatives of each country, who have become winners of the intramural round in each of three nominations, will be invited to Moscow to take part in the award ceremony which is due on June 6th 2012, Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The contest invites foreign students of comprehensive schools aged under 16 (1st nomination), foreign citizens over 16, who study Russian language, – students, students of Russian language courses (2nd nomination), – Russian compatriots living abroad (3rd nomination).
