
History of Russia: “P. A. Stolypin, statesman and reformer” Mobile Exhibition in Crimea
The Rossotrudnichestvo representative office, Simferopol, hosts a traveling exhibition "P. Stolypin - a statesman and reformer," timed to the 150th birthday anniversary of P. Stolypin.
The exhibition was prepared by the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Ukraine and Sheremetievs Museum with the support of the Stolypin Heritage Studies Foundation and the "Humanitarian Cooperation Fund." The exhibition features unique photographs and artifacts from the collections of the Sheremeievs Museum, theFederal Archival Agency of Russia and the State Archival Service of Ukraine.
As part of the exhibition visitors were introduced to the anniversary edition of the book by D. Tabachnik and Vladimir Voronin "Way of the Cross of Peter Stolypin," published with the assistance of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Ukraine. Basing on the huge amount of archival material and memoirs of contemporaries, the authors were able to recreate the look of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Russian empire, who launched a large-scale socio-economic transformation. After February 27, 2012 the traveling exhibition will be displayed in the M. P. Lazarev Naval library of Sevastopol.
The exposition "P. Stolypin - a statesman and reformer" will be available from February to May 2012 not only to the Crimea residents, but also to those of Kiev, Kherson, Nikolaev, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk.
