The state mail called to enable citizen-official interaction may be unveiled in the first half this year, the Minister of Communications and Mass Media Igor Shchegolev announced.
“In regard to the technology it is ready, and we hope to show it off in the first half this year”, the Minister said. He added that the project had much in common with two other projects launched by the government: “e-government” and “e-democracy”.
The Minister said that the mail would be connected with “private office” on the single govt services portal, but the citizen will have an opportunity to look through it as it were some usual mail and receive information from agencies even when he hasn’t entered the “personal office”. Besides, the mail may be used for public discussion of laws in draft.
