Book Publishing and Distribution: 18th Tver Book Week opened

February 14, 2012 the Maxim Gorky Tver Regional Universal Scientific Library opened the 18th Tver Book Week.

The annual event summarizes the activities of local publishers and presents the latest works of literature to readers.

In the framework of the Week will be held the meetings with the editors of the "Tver Antiquities” magazine, presentation of books, in particular, one by Alexander Kokarev “A trip to Russia." It also will host the first All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Isakov Readings: Old Russian Heritage and Modernity", dedicated to the memory of Vladimir Isakov, a Tver writer, translator of ancient manuscripts, journalist and public figure. Three years ago, his translation of "The Tale of Igor’s Campaign" was the main event of the Jubilee 15th Tver Book Week.

The library also presents the exhibition, which features more than 600 books, albums, booklets of 130 publishers and publishing organizations, issued in 2011.

The visitors will also see the "Local history books published outside of the Tver region" book exhibition and the exhibition of reproductions and photographs by Konstantin Korovin.
