Memory of Russia: “Duel and Poet’s Death” exhibition in celebration of Alexander Pushkin’s 175th death anniversary in St. Petersburg

On February 9th 2012 the Pushkin House (St. Petersburg) is holding a memorial day of Alexander Pushkin. This day will see a roundtable discussion, and an inauguration ceremony of “Duel and Poet’s Death” exhibit devoted to poet’s 175th death anniversary.

The exhibition unveils unique materials which have never gone on display before, which originate from the Literary Museum and Manuscript Division and cast light on the tragic death of Alexander Pushkin. They include manuscripts and documents, portraits of those who were with the poet during his last days, as well as materials which describe the memorial days of Alexander Pushkin held in the past.
