World culture: Exhibition “Saint Anna. The last masterpiece of Leonardo” in Louvre

In Paris in Louvre opened an exhibition entitled “St. Anna. The Leonardo’s last masterpiece”. There exhibited the painting “Saint Anna with Madonna and a Christ Child” (ca 1510) by Leonardo da Vinci, which in 2011 underwent to restoration that caused mixed reviews of experts.

The exhibition where all the existing documents, drawings, sketches, that show the origin of the concept of this painting of Leonardo are presented will last till June 25. Besides “Saint Anna” the Parisian Museum put a copy of “La Gioconda” from the Prado Museum, which was made during the life of Leonardo.

According to some records, Leonardo worked on the “Saint Anna” till his death in 1519, but he left the painting incomplete.
