IT and Libraries: “Information-Multimedia Technologies in Modern Library: Vector for Development” conference runs in Moscow

March 27-28 2012, Moscow, Nekrasov Central Research Library is running the Second Interregional Workshop Conference “Information-Multimedia Technologies in Modern Library: Vector for Development”. The conference has attracted representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, Moscow Government, the Department for Culture, the Department for Education and the Department for Information Technologies of Moscow, the Russian Library Association, libraries of Moscow and regions, companies-producers of new technologies, publishing houses.

The key issues addressed by the conference include: provision of access to electronic content to users; inter-agency and interregional partnership in efforts to provide library and information services, including those provided electronically; global information space: participation of Russian libraries; modern media centers as new forms of library activities. The conference’s program features shows of new Information-Multimedia Technologies and products of publishing houses.

The conference will be webcasted live on the library-information portal “BiblioGorod”.
