Society and book culture: “Children’s Book Week” in St. Petersburg

Traditionally, during the school holidays from 24 to 31 March 2012, in St. Petersburg takes place the "Children's Book Week."

The holiday opens March 24 with the "Open Books Day" Festival in the A. S. Pushkin Children's Library. On this day, young readers are proposed various events - performances, a tour of the exhibition of children's works, as well as a meeting with the writer Alexei Shevchenko, who will present his new book "I read without hesitation."

During the festival, everyone can try their hand at various master classes. The exhibition of illustrations "Tales of the Baltic Sea" features the works of artists from different countries.

Week activities will take place in many libraries of the city.
