
IT and Culture: Live webcast of Nacho Duato’s ballet premiere at Mikhailovsky Theatre
A live webcast of Nacho Duato’s ballet premiere “Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness” at Mikhailovsky Theatre (St. Petersburg) will kick off at 7 p.m. on March 22 2012.
The ballet’s live webcast will enable spectators to appraise expressive facets of the performance in a new virtual space. Due to state-of-the-art technological solutions the live webcast and instant archive offers the performance to spectators in all nine time zones and all over the world at any convenient time. The webcast will be available for users of PCs and iOS devices (iPhone/iPad) at www.mikhailovsky.ru/live, www.rt.ru and www.paraclassics.com.
Nacho Duato’s ballet “Multiplicity. Forms of Silence and Emptiness”, devoted to Johann Sebastian Bach, is a “Ballet Oscar” winner – it was awarded the Benois de la Dance international prize.
The ballet, which includes fragments of 22 works by Bach, will be for the first time in its history accompanied by orchestra.
