Publishing and Book Distribution: Best Russian book illustrations go on show at Bologna Children’s Book Fair

The best Russian book illustrations are shown off at Bologna Children’s Book Fair (Italy), which is running March 19 - 22 2012.

Along with children’s books issued by Russian publishers, the exposition of the Russian stand will feature the show of illustrators’ works. There will be a presentation of Professor Alexander Koshkin’s book illustration studio, Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Arts and Industry. Guests will have a chance to attend the annual contest for illustrators and designers “Image of the Book”, which is held by the Federal Agency on Press and Mass Communications jointly with the book illustration section of Moscow Union of Artists. Publishing companies like “RIPOL classic” (Moscow) and “DETGIZ” (St. Petersburg) will also run a series of events.

Bologna Children’s Book Fair which debuted in 1964 is considered to be the leading exhibit for professionals in children’s book publishing.
