Publishing and Book Distribution: Paris International Book Fair kicks off in France

Paris International Book Fair (Salon du Livre) is running in the capital city of France March 16 - 19 2012.

“This year Moscow has become a guest of honor at the major annual book fair in France – Salon du Livre, which has brought together representatives from over 25 countries and features some 500 meetings with authors, conferences and roundtable discussions”, the announcement of the press service of Moscow Department of Mass Media and Advertising reads.

Moscow fair stand will showcase over 500 books presented by Moscow publishing houses, as well as books which have been included into Moscow government’s “Books of Moscow” publishing program.

The fair will also address current problems of present-day publishing, new trends in the eBooks world, issues concerning reading promotion among children and the youth etc.

Moscow fair stand was inaugurated on March 15. Its inauguration ceremony featured a special concert program with a unique Russian belfry “Sophia”.
