Memorable dates of Russia: “Battle glory of Russia” conference at Rybinsk Museum-Reserve

Last week Rybinsk Museum-Reserve hosted the Sixth Inter-Municipal Conference “Battle glory of Russia” which is held on the initiative of Rybinsk District Administration along with Rybinsk Town Administration.

This year the event celebrates 200th anniversary of Russian people’s victory in the Patriotic War of 1812. Besides, the conference was timed to Admiral Feodor Ushakov’s birthday.

The conference attracted scientists, local historians, librarians from Moscow, Yaroslavl, Tutaev, Rybinsk and Rybinsk District.

The event saw a presentation of a map-guide entitled “Rybinsk Krai during the Patriotic War of 1812”, which was issued by Rybinsk District Department for Culture, Youth Affairs and Sport jointly with Rybinsk Department for Culture and Rybinsk Museum-Reserve.

Great deal of interest was drawn to a tour around the exhibition “From Borodino to Berlin”. Materials of the conference are planned to be compiled into a new collected articles.
