Regions of Russia: Photo exhibition devoted to women held in Samara

March 7, 2012 in Samara, on Slava square, opened a photo exhibition "Dedicated to the Women of Samara Province." The exhibition marks the tradition originating from the celebration of the 160th anniversary of the Samara Province, when on Slava square was first organized a series of expositions featuring the unique natural monuments, symbolic places and events, bright moments of the region's history. This time the open-air exhibition is timed to coincide with the International Women's Day, March 8th.

The exhibition presents eminent sportswomen, actresses, women musicians, women painters, women doctors, talented pedagogues, scholars, social figures. The exhibit features 92 works by the leading photo artists of Samara.

The photo exhibition is available to all interested. It will run through the early April.
