Internet resources: Yandex upgrades latest content in search results

In response to search queries about the latest events, Yandex now returns a group of links to the most recent web documents, including the links shared on Twitter, the company’s announcement reads. 

Search queries about the latest news and events are among the most popular on Yandex, comprising 3% to 10% of all searches. To return results to these queries, Yandex uses its real-time robot, Orange, specifically designed for indexing frequently updated websites. Now, using a new ranking formula, Yandex ranks all of the most recently appearing results by relevance to offer those that are most historically relevant to the user. All results can also be filtered to view only those that appeared in the past three days.
