Memory of Russia: “Battles at the outskirts of Berlin” military-historical reconstruction in Voronezh

"Battles at the outskirts of Berlin" military-historical reconstruction is taking place in Voronezh April 30, 2012.

The reconstruction is held in celebration of the 67th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The event is attended by clubs from Voronezh, Samara, Kazan, Rostov, Volgograd, Pyatigorsk, Kaluga and Moscow.

The reconstruction will use the Soviet machinery of war - rocket launcher "Katyusha", armored car BA-64, automobile ZIS-5, armored car BA-6, a 45-mm cannon, a 76 mm cannon, GAZ-64 cars, motorcycles and machinery, used by the German army in the 1940s: German light tank Pz.2 (T2), a light armored vehicle Sd.Kfz.222, motorcycles, Mercedes w170, 50mm and 80 mm mortars, the captured Willis and Studebaker. The gunfire and explosions will be simulated using fireworks.
