History and culture: Unique photographs of the early last century displayed in Yekaterinburg

The Photographic Museum "Metenkov House" in Yekaterinburg opened an exhibition of unique color photographs of the early 20th century "Other Shores. The World of the Russian Nobility in Color Photography."

The exhibition features 80 photographs taken in 1900s. Their author is musician, educator, philosopher, and amateur photographer, Peter Vedinisov. Amazingly beautiful and clear color images reveal everyday life of a noble family.

Photos are supplemented by texts of Chekhov, Nabokov, Pasternak telling about the time, the generation and Russian nature.
