Russian culture abroad: Russian Center opened on board of “Mir” sailer

April 26, 2012 aboard the sailing ship "Mir" in St. Petersburg took place the opening of the "floating" Russian Center.

Russian sailing center includes a library, video and media collections, as well as modern multimedia equipment. Sailboat "Mir" will be a "floating island of Russia", carrying the knowledge about Russian culture, language, traditions and history of our country all around the world.

In 2012, the sailer is to visit 20 international ports, seven countries: Germany, Norway, Latvia, France, Spain, Portugal, Denmark. It is planned that the sailing ship "Mir" returns to home port in early October 2012.
