Information technology and power: State e-mail system to be launched in May
State e-mail system may start operating in Russia in May. "We have built such a tool, and in May we plan to run it at potential capacity", said Igor Shchegolev at a meeting with Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, for the implementation of tasks outlined in the pre-election article "Democracy and Quality of the State."
The new resource will help citizens learn about the status of the filed application or a public service requested. "This will be a feedback channel for our citizens," said the head of the Ministry of Communications.
Another mechanism that to be launched in mid-2012, will be a single portal for e-democracy. "It allows citizens to establish a feedback channel with all the authorities and expose not only evaluate the initiatives but the ongoing activities, to submit their social initiatives", said Igor Shchegolev.
The minister said that this resource is already functioning in some regions of Russia in test mode. It is planned to cover half of the regions by the mid-year.
