World culture: Rembrandt’s “Half-length portrait of a man in a breastplate and a hat at Moskow

The exhibition at the Muravyovs Apostles’ Museum-Estate (Moscow), 12 and 13 April, 2012 features Rembrandt’s "Half-length portrait of a man in a breastplate and a hat." It is on sale at Christie's. The canvas is part of the collection of Peter and Olga Dreesmann.

Bidding "Art of Old Masters and British Paintings" will be held in London on July 3. Prior to this, Christie's is going to hold a series of pre-shows in Moscow, Doha, New York, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.

"Half-length portrait of a man in a breastplate and a hat," was written in 1626-1627. In 2006, the picture was exhibited at the "Rembrandt - Caravaggio" exhibition which was held at the State Museum in Amsterdam (Rijksmuseum).
