Information technology and society: Tomsk students have developed Russian-English phrasebook for mobile phones

Students of the Tomsk University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics within the Mobile Applications learning project have released “Ru-En Phrasebook" an application designed for Android.

The application might be useful to anyone who wants to easily travel the world and learn English. It is noteworthy that the product does not have direct counterparts.

Characteristics of the application:

• database of phrases is sorted by category so you can quickly find necessary information depending on the situation;

• information is presented in a convenient way: Russian phrase – its translation into English – Russian transcription;

• voicing of English words;

• no need for Internet connection.
