Memory of Russia: “Warriors of the Russian Land” Exhibition in Krasnodar

April 10, 2012, in the Krasnodar Regional Fine Arts Exhibition Hall opened "Warriors of the Russian Land" exhibition. It is dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the formation of the Russian state.

The exhibition features works of art of the 19th – 20th centuries. They include: "Attack of the Sumy Hussar," "Fight for Shevardino Redoubt," "Fight for the Bridge in the Village of Borodino," "The Russian Troops Pass Through Semenovskoye," "The feat of the Battery of Colonel Nikitin," "The Battle of Maloyaroslavets," "The Retreat of French out of Russia."

Portraits depict Emperor Alexander I, poet Denis Davydov, generals Mikhail Golenishchev-Kutuzov, Matvei Platov, Pyotr Bagration.

Visitors will see 50 copies of paintings from the Moscow Museum-Panorama "Borodino Battle". Among the authors are the artists, Alexander Averyanov, Bogdan Villevalde, Roman Volkov, Alphonse Zhaba, Alexey Kivshenko, Victor Mazurovskiy, Mikhail Mikeshin, Hilarion Pryanishnikov, Franz Roubaud, Alexander Chagadaev.
