Libraries and education: III Annual City-Wide Theoretical & Practical Conference “Interaction of Children’s, Youth and School Libraries: Present and Future” in Moscow

April 10, 2012 in Moscow, the M. Svetlov Central City Youth Library together with the A. Gaidar Central City Children's Library and educational institutions are holding III Annual City-Wide Theoretical and Practical Conference "Interaction of Children's, Youth and School Libraries: Present and Future."

Among the points at issue are: researches, analytical data, recommendations on the administrative reform of libraries, reading and education of young people, contribution of libraries to the system of additional education, the marketing concept of interaction between public libraries and educational institutions. Particular attention will be paid to the coordination of the work of cultural and educational institutions.

Representatives of the Departments of Education and Culture, the Center for Sociological Research, research institutes, central publishing houses, public associations of children and youth writers, leaders of the library and educational communities have been invited to speak at the conference.
