Book publishing and distribution: Russian stand program at the London Book Fair 2012 announced

Academia Rossica Foundation and the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation have announced a program of the Russian stand at the London Book Fair 2012, which will be held from 16 to 18 April 2012.

In 2012, the name of the Russian stand at the London Book Fair will be «Read Russia!». The objectives of the project «Read Russia!» is the promotion of Russian literature and literary culture, as well as the active participation of the Russian publishing business in the global market.

Presentation of the «Read Russia! 2012" program at the London Book Fair will be a sort of dress rehearsal for the participation of Russian writers and publishers in the BookExpo America (4-7 June 2012), where Russia is declared  the Global Market Forum Country 2012.

Among the highlights of the program of the Russian stand are: presentation of the «Read Russia! 2012" project on April 16, the work of the International Centre of the Moscow International Book Fair on April 17, as well as announcement of the shortlists of the Rossica prize for translators from Russian into English on April 18.
