Memorable dates of Russia: Unique exhibits at the exposition timed to the 200th birthday anniversary of Herzen in Saratov

April 6, 2012 in Saratov, at the Chernyshevsky Museum-Estate, opened an exhibition devoted to the 200th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Herzen.

The exhibition will feature for the first time a bronze medal "10 Years of Russian Free Printing Press," which Alexander Ivanovich ordered to a British medalist Charles Wiener.

In addition to the commemorative coin, the exhibition is featuring books, which had long become rarities, in particular, the London edition of 1858, "December 14, 1825, and the Emperor Nicholas," the Berlin edition of 1859, "Iskander Herzen" and other exhibits from the museum’s collections.
