Society and book culture: “War and Peace” in the Illustrations of Russian Artists” exposition from the Tolstoy State Museum

April 5, 2012 at the K. A. Fedin State Museum (Saratov), opened "War and Peace" in the Illustrations of Russian Artists" exhibition from the Tolstoy State Museum (Moscow).

Brought together in a single exhibition space, the illustrations allow visitors to feel the numerous facets of the literary text of Tolstoy, which became "the epic of people’s life."

The exhibition features materials on the War of 1812 from the collection of E. I. Spitsyn (postcards, newspapers, magazines, vintage household items of the 19th - early 20th century).
