Internet resources: Yandex has launched cloud file warehouse
April 5, 2012 Yandex launched the cloud file warehouse "Yandex.Disc." It allows you to store files on a remote server in any format, including music, photos, movies and documents. Each user is allocated 10 gigabytes of space.
File access can be obtained from your computer or mobile device with an Internet connection. In addition, files can be "shared" with others.
For computers running Windows and Mac OS X, "Yandex.Disc" has released its client. Owners of devices using Android and iOS can work with the disk through the "Yandex.Mail" application. File warehouse is also available through a web interface.
"Yandex.Disc" also stores attachments from the user's email box in the "Yandex.Mail." An extra space is allocated. In the future, "Yandex" has plans to link the "disc" to its other services.
Now "Yandex.Disc" operates in the mode of the closed beta version with access by invitation only. To receive an invitation, you must provide your email address on disk.yandex.ru. Yandex specifies that the invitation will be given to the first "some tens of thousands of users" who have submitted an application.
