Society and culture: Symposium on the role of culture and arts universities in the world educational environment held in Bryansk

May 30 - June 2, in the Bryansk Region is held the Sixth International Symposium on "Culture and Arts Universities in the World Educational Environment: Russian-Slavic Cultural Traditions and Intercultural Interaction."

The event has brought together about 180 rectors and deans of culture, arts, humanities research faculties from Russia and more than two dozen countries of the CIS, Europe and Asia. The forum was also attended by some 200 members of the student's creative teams from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

For the first time the forum is held not in the capitals of the countries where universities are located, but in the Russian province that arose great interest.

- One of the most pressing problems for almost all countries of the world is the preservation of national culture, as well as training of staff in the field of culture. For all the differences between countries and their traditions, the urgency of these problems is still high. That is why arts and culture university presidents have made the theme of training of staff for culture, the principal topic to discuss, - says the head of the Bryansk Region Culture Department, Natalia Somova.
