The Information Technology Department of Moscow started the unification of the official websites of public institutions of the capital, the generalization and extension of information provided via Internet, as well as the creation of a unified search system of the municipal government bodies’ sites.

As explained at the meeting on operational matters Artem Ermolaev, Minister of Moscow Government, Head of the Information Technology Department of Moscow, now government bodies and public institutions of the capital have about four thousand different sites, not all of which are suitable for use. Therefore, it was decided to conduct the optimization. According to Ermolaev, the sites of public departments will be supported by a single technological solution - they will look the same in terms of visual design. In addition, the Information Technology Department of Moscow has developed requirements for the portals of the executive power bodies in order to bring them to a single structure.

In 2012 will be launched the single personal account on the sites of public institutions through which users will be able to register at all resources, using the same username and password.

One of the purposes of the sites’ unification is the creation of a unified content promotion system, which allows you to quickly and efficiently communicate the necessary information to the Muscovites.

In 2012 will open a single geographic information portal providing information about the executive power bodies, sport, medical and educational institutions. According to Ermolaev, now, this resource is being tested.

As noted Ermolaev, in Moscow, visits to sites of executive power bodies by users are monitored, through which the state institutions are informed about what interests the Muscovites, and publish the appropriate information on their site.
