Regions of Russia: Izborsk Museum Reserve received archival materials on ethnographic expedition of 1930s

Director of the Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad, Viktor Moskvin donated to the museum-reserve "Izborsk" unique archival materials relating to the ethnographic expedition of Leonid Zurov to Izborsk in the 1930s.

The archive contains the author's sketches and plans of locality and archaeological finds, the description of the features of the area, which open a new page in the study Izborsk land.

Among the provided archival documents there is also an interesting information about the North-Western Army, and correspondence of the artist Evgeny Klimov with his prominent contemporaries. These materials will make part of a new museum exhibit, called "Izborsk Land - Holy Places for the Russian Culture."
